Resident Engineer, Tunnel construction
Job Description:
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of tunnel construction projects in Lesotho and South Africa.
• Lead a team of engineers and technicians to ensure project milestones are met on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate potential issues during project execution.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Minimum 10 years of experience in TBM tunnel construction, including at least 5 years as a Tunnel Superintendent or equivalent.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery in similar size tunnels and lengths with precast concrete segmental tunnel lining.
• Demonstrated experience in hard rock tunneling with fully-shielded TBMs and bolted, gasket, precast concrete segmental tunnel lining.
• Fluency in English language (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Active passport with at least 3 years' validity.
