Resident Engineer

About the Role:
You will oversee a small team of civil engineers and designers, ensuring the highest standards of technical and professional excellence across a range of sustaining capital projects. Your key responsibilities will include:
Providing technical leadership and guidance on mining projects, ensuring all designs align with project requirements
Mentoring engineers and promoting a collaborative, respectful, and inclusive team culture
Reviewing designs and performing peer reviews to ensure accuracy and quality
Managing project deliverables, budgets, and schedules in coordination with project managers
Cultivating long-term relationships with key stakeholders and clients' teams
Championing Safety in Design (SID) leadership and continuous improvements within the team
Undertaking site visits as needed, ensuring projects meet quality and safety standards
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need
10+ years of experience as a Civil Design Engineer, including at least 2 years in a Lead role within the bridges or Tunnel , with a focus on sustaining capital projects
A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and eligibility for CPEng certification
Proficiency in MS Office and civil design packages (e.g., HY-8, XPSWMM, DRAINS, TuFlow)
A strong commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive work environment, with an emphasis on mentoring and team development
